Training Options


Basic Life Support

 

For healthcare providers and others interested in performing basic cardiovascular care in-facility or prehospital settings, this certification will fulfill licensure requirements. This certification covers adult CPR and usage of an automated external defibrillator (AED) as well as infant CPR and use of an AED on an infant. Additionally, this course covers choking and rescue breathing for both adults and infants. This course also covers resuscitation using a barrier device and a bag mask device. This course typically takes 2.5-3 hours.


CPR/AED

 

This course is designed for individuals who do not have medical training or limited training. This course will cover CPR and the usage of an automated external defibrillator (AED) for adults. Upon request, modules can also be taught for CPR and AED usage for children and infants. This course will also teach and review methods to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants.

First Aid

 

This course is designed for anyone with little to no medical training. A larger portion of this course is video-based, but it is still instructor led with demonstrations and hands-on learning for many scenarios. This training will cover what to do before emergency medical help arrives. Course content will cover common injuries such as fractures, sprains, strokes, allergic reactions, bleeding control, and much more.


Bloodborne Pathogens

 

This course is specifically geared towards individuals who may come in contact with any bloodborne pathogens. This course will cover how to protect oneself from becoming exposed to blood or blood-containing substances.


Combination CPR/AED and First Aid

 

This course serves as a simple combination of both the CPR and AED training as well as the first aid training. Both courses are combined as a cost-effective and time-efficient way to receive training in both competencies.
